You can freeze cheese! Never had a problem with it. Just gets a little crumbly once thawed

Sike. As long as you have enough liquid to completely cover the breast you are good to go.

I used to go to Sams Club and get the 5 pound block and then do the same. Works good for hard cheese, maybe the post is talking about soft?

I do this with most of the meat I eat with my immersion circulator. Costco, Season, Vacuum Seal, Freeze, Sous Vide, Sear, Serve. 1/2

ugh why do I not have a slow cooker??

I just double the time in the sous vide to thaw. Much easier than defrosting and I've noticed no significant difference vs fresh meat.

I've never had an issue. I've also never used a crock pot.

Get an instant pot. It does slow cooking plus a bunch of other things like sautéed, pressure cooker and rice cooker.

Cook chicken in crockpot all the time. It's moist af if you have veggies or other sauces/liquid in there. Can do soup, fajitas, pasta...etc.

A real question though how much electricity is it worth to cook something on for like 8 hours??? Doesnt it fuck the bills??

somnif . 2018-01-13 00:09:32
No no, we're all about LAZY food, and a slow cooker is perfect for it. Its just an electric pot that simmers for hours. Aka "Crock pot"

Buy in bulk on sale. The bone-in breasts in particular can be a bargain. You may need to trim a bit, but its worth the savings.

I wish they sold it like that. It's always 2-4 pieces in a plastic packet. Finnish supermarkets turned stupid at some point. No bulks.
